I'm a prisoner here at Hopkin's County Jail
At 250,000 they set my bail
they say I'm bad
And my friends are worse

or being at the right place at the wrong time
It gets dark in here
and lonely and cold

It can get very old
but when the going gets tough

Don't get discouraged
Talk to a friend
Or sit in your cell
and think happy thoughts
Don't think of the bad times
they're over and gone
If you sit here and hate
and dwell on the past
You might as well die
cause you aint gonna last
you have to be strong
Believe what I say
One day you'll be free
Dream of that day
