Mask
By Liz
I smile brightly as the world around me
Shadders and breaks.
Hiding behind a mask of joy,
No one realises how I really feel.
Despite the thickness
I feel it start to crack and fall away,
Leaving me exposed to jugemental eyes.
Quickly I kneel and pick up the peices,
Putting it back together before too many see.
But no matter how thick I make my mask,
There is forever the shadow of sorrow
Behind the facade of joy.
